Im just about to close a deal on a 1993 Chriscraft 322 when a friend of mine has told me about a Cranchi 32 also 1993. I've been all over the 322 & its in v good condition.but I have not seen the Cranchi yet.(apart from photo's) Can anyone tell me anything about the Cranchi regarding build quality as I cant seem to find any info on the net for this model. Also any info as regards comparison would be most welcome....thanks.............Nat

Know about both models but not from personal ownership but my choice would be the Chris Craft if it serves your requirements at a price you want to pay. My reasoning being that while both are very good makes from well established companies the Chris Craft is more likely to become a more desirable 'Classic' sooner and hold some of it's money better for that reason. Both should hold thier money better than some makes as there is a degree of customisation in each possibly edged by the Cranchi, and were usually owned by better heeled owners. However the custom work on a Cranchi can get expensive when refurbishment is required as they are not too often standard fittings or fabrics.
Good luck with which ever you choose.

Typing "cranchi cruiser 32" in google turned up a lot of pages.
Dont know much about Chriscraft,....but i keep my cranchi 32 in the Med. No major problems....but it dosnt like a following sea when you are going slower than the waves. throws it about all over the place!!!!!
Otherwise I am happy with it. Good luck with your choice

On the Chris Craft: if it is petrol I would watch out for the combination of petrol and OMC drives for reliability and spares. A friend of mine has a similar one. The boat itself although not comparable to Britisch built boats for seakeeping and hull strenth is good. The open plan interior is fantastic and makes it feel like a lot larger boat.
