I am generating an Excel list of a worldwide collection of charts including the area covered with Lat/Long for the edges. Then checking which charts are available for a location should be easy.

Opening each chart to find the co-ordinate extremities is seriously boring.
It seems so obvious that this information is useful that I was amazed not to easily find it .

Does anyone know of any lists that contain this information, particularly for UKHO and USA charts?

It would seem useful at first, but then I realized that most chart coverage areas are shown in the big overlay charts provided. If you know where you are going, all you need do is to look at one of those, which will show which charts cover that area, no?

Sometimes when something doesn't exist doesn't mean it is necessary.

Thanks for the replies Tillergirl and Stu.

I still cannot find a list of Lat/Long coverage for the HO charts, only the numbers and names and small pictures.

The HO charts do not show the American , Australian and NewZealand and vice-versa.

For a mixed supply of charts the spreadsheet will be valuable. I have also used the information to produce a chart with each smaller chart location and number shown.
