Help! anybody got an old copy of Lloyds\' register?

Or are you all hibernating? Anyway, if you have one, could you look for this boat, as I'm doing a bit of research because I'll be working on it in the spring. I'd do it meself, only I'm bored and impatient and all the libraries are closed until next week.

currently called 'Our Sweet Lady'
A twin screw motor yacht
Teak planking on Oak(I think)
Raked straight stem with a canoe stern
Built in 1935 by Saunders Roe Ltd. in Cowes
Official number 164808
Registered Tonnage 15 & 67/100
Hull build/Yard number 1775

cheers,
david

Could it be The Liz (Ex Vagabond)?

The only 16 tonner built by Saunders Roe mentioned in the 1975 list is a vessel called Marvin which was built in 1916. Vagabond's number is 164825 and built in 1937.

Long 'oliday ain't it!!

Working through the 1949 register, looking at all the Saunders Roe boats, I got as far as 'L' and found Liz (The), ex-Vagabond of the correct weight built by them in 1935. It does not, however, show an official number.

Greetings,

1950 Lloyds shows Saturnella ex The Liz, ex Vagabond that exactly fits your description. No off number is shown, but must be the same boat.

Just to confuse matters another Vagabond was built by Saunders Roe in 1937, also TSMY but larger
