I would have thought exactly the same.

Don't understand why one co-owner cleared and other facing re-trial either.

Be interesting to hear the sentence - could be a long one for manslaughter.

Don't understand why manslaughter never seems to be used for killing people with a motor car but so often (relatively) used against boat drivers.

UK criminal law is very odd isn't it. You would think it could distinguish between an Owner, a Captain and a Helmsman.
Maritime law seems to be so normal in comparison.
Bergman, I am guessing, but I think that there are many more accidents with cars, which result clearly in accidental death.

I'd have thought they were all as guilty as each other, theres none of them experts,so all equaly to blame, else the last two on were to blame. Are we allowed to have stupid accidents anymore like we used to??

Can we now ask guests to fill in a form, bit like a prenuptual agreament that says, even if I do something really really stupid, I dont like you that much that I'm prepared to go to jail for the doubtfull Privilege of takeing you for a day out.

Yes agreed but there must be a number that involve whatis arguably "criminal negligence" which appears to be what is involved in this case.

Someone who is drunk for example and drives or maybe the laddie near me who fell asleep and caused a train crash killing, I think, 11 people.

Reading between the lines, it could be that the helmsman was also a co-owner of the boat and it could be that the prosecution proved that he made the fatal decision to go out with so many peeps on board. Just because the 2 other co-owners were on board does'nt necessarily mean they were acting as skipper
Anyway, I guess what really happened was that the 2 women co-owners got together and decided to blame the bloke.

I guess the owner must take responsibility for allowing so many people aboard. The helmsman could have been anyone wanting to 'have a go at driving'.
The unfortunate throwback from these stupid accidents is more legislation, which doesn't seem to be the answer.
This whole 'safety concious, blame concious' thing has spawned a whole industry, but it aint stopped accidents caused by ignorance, and its the responsible folk who invariably have to pay.
