I was having a nice pleasant sail this morning enjoying the peace and quiet , then I heard a rumbling noise in the distance coming from the Welsh side of the channel thought it was a couple of Mobos out for a run --nope it was the aquatic version of "Hells Angles " a whole flotilla of jet skis (or PWOs )coming from Wales.Well they ended up in the harbour (jet skis not allowed BTW) ,I carried on with my sail for a while then made my way back in as I was mooring they were out in the harbour entrance doing "doughnuts" and tearing off into the bay ,several local kayaks and boats came back in for fear of an accident.
Don't get me wrong here I don't think they were terrorising anybody and to be honest it looked like good fun to me ( wouldn't mind a go myself
).
I didn't know these things would do cross channel trips !!
