Some names here I remember from the last time I was here some 2.5 yrs ago...

Was forced to sell the Corniche back then due to a bit of a messy divorce and afraid I've been boatless since! Two summer's is a long time on dry land I can tell you....

Anyway the good news...just bought me a little cracker of a weekender to ease myself back into things so to speak!

Lovely little Fairline Sprint with an oh so important diesel lump....very pleased to know I'm not going to be land locked for a third summer...:-)

Good to be back and if you remember me say hi..

Regards
Rob.

Hi and welcome back.

Is the engine a Yamaha?

Hi Rob,
Welcome back :)

With diesel the price it is I would have thought petrol was the best option with better long term residuals , very surprised you have gone for Diesel after all the recent threads on here about small diesel residuals.

Only winding you up ;)

Cheers
Pete

Ha!

Hi Pete,

Yup you got me....! no change there then.

Not a yammy motor, Volvo 4cyl AD31XD 150hp driving through a 290 dp leg.

Not going to be super quick but as long as it gets me out there its a great first step back on the boating ladder.

Rob :-)

Hi Rob,

Nice boat to get back on the water with. I'm boatless (apart from a 4 metre Avon and outboard)at the moment but we are headed your way - BP should be the closest marina for us. We will be doing a quick run over to the new house in Foelgastell from Kent this weekend to measure up.

Not sure what our boating plans will be once we've settled. Aim to do my advanced powerboat this year but might sail as well - its all up for grabs at the moment.

Bet you can't wait for the weather to improve! Enjoy :):):)

:-(

Thanks for notes chaps!

Bit disappointed today, had hoped to get my new purchase removed from its berth at Plymouth (before today) by the yard I have instructed to carry out a Lift, blast, antifoul and leg service ready for my transport to collect next week, then a day or two of "titivation" before launching at my marina.

However looks like she won't be lifted until at least next Thursday now so unless anyone in the Plymouth area knows of an independant company who can carry out all of the above at short notice then I'm just going to have to wait :-(

Have tried all of the main players in the area who are very very busy so having no luck!

Guess I can wait but being landlocked for so long has left me a tad impatient!

Rob.

Cant help but think that for the rest of your life you are going to regret not going to play in plymouth this weekend , you are being presented with a golden opportunity :D
