Hello I have a 1970s sealine 215 the steering is very stiff can anyone tell me where the grease/ lube points are many thanks
Thanks I’ll have a look ?I’m sure there is a grease point just behind the wheel, at the top of the black hub it fixes to
There doesn’t seem to be any free movement at the wheel..the boat is still in the water so I can’t check the driveLet’s do a bit of diagnostics.
Is there any free movement in the wheel?
Is there any free movement in the drive if you try and push it side to side?

Hi thanks for reply. She has a Volvo penta 250 petrol with no power steering I think it is 70s but not sure do these pics help?hi..what engine and outdrive is she ? Are you sure she is from the 70's ? any 215 I know of would be from the 80's...turned into the 218 and then the 220. All used the same hull. Power plants were usually 4, 6 or 8 cylinder VP set ups. Some had power steering and some didn't, depending on set up.

I’d say that’s maybe a 200/210 or something like that. 215 is a little different. She will be 80’s I’d think.Hi thanks for reply. She has a Volvo penta 250 petrol with no power steering I think it is 70s but not sure do these pics help?
Can you see the rod connecting to the drive if so disconnect and see if the wheel turns easy if so its the drive
