Thats a few Lurkers out of the woodwork but this forum lark is looking addictive. Any advice on how to keep it under control from regulars would be appreciated, thanks.

350 post in 2 years is not a "Lurker" in my opinion although I do like to log on as often as possible. Come the season (April) I don't have as much time due to the travelling to Devon at weekends.
Those regulars you refer to bring lots of practical help and support and also bring a great deal of fun and wit to this forum which would otherwise lean to a boring atmosphere.
There are also some very sarcastic and critical contributors but it we do live in the real world!

Regards.

Peter.

Hi, suppose I'm a lurker. I benefit most from using this site as a research tool, and actually feel a bit guilty when i post something, as it's always a question (except this post) and as yet I am not a sailor or yachtsman, and so have next to no knowledge to offer in return. However, nobody seems to mind, and i have found this to be the best internet site for yachting knowledge bar none.

It's also very entertaining!!

Basically, thank you, people.

Cheers,

Rob.

It's important that every level of knowledge and skill is represented here and don't forget that people bring expertise from all walks of life to the forums not just boaty. Sometimes the asking of 'obvious' questions leads to some interesting debate and gives the knowledgeable a chance to show off. Ideas and opinions are what the forum is all about. The worst you'll get is a severe gumming from the wrinkly brigade!
