Over the last few weeks i have been browsing the forum wondering whether to join or not as i have never done this chat thing before. It looks a very good forum with some intellectual conversations and also a few jokers amongst you. I am looking forward to getting to know you all and help me with some boating issues.
Thanks.

Hi.

The answer to your technical question is to either get a new one, or a bigger one, whatever it is. The answer to your boating question is that you should have been somewhere else, at a different time.

hope this helps

Hi, good to see new people join. you've obvoiusly browsed and got a feel for the thing anyway, but you'll enjoy it and the people here. an absolute wealth of information (some of it's of use too /forums/images/icons/wink.gif)

welcome. steve.

Welcome. As you will have already noticed there is a sense of fun occasionally around here. You can of course ignore him, although patently more fun to work out what the question you should have asked was.

Sorry, do not understand your 'intellectual' observation. Can not think of anyone around here that resembles that description although I would confess that I did pass one GCSE. A few Mech Eng graduates around but don't worry they are easy to spot. Usually discussing things best left to paid mechanics. (incoming)

There is also apparently some good boating advice occasionally , however as I am unable to differentiate twixt good and bad , you may find it easier to triangulate and corroborate all advice in your local boozer just before closing time.

Wellcome - another member from North of the Border - look out for "Alistairr", he's in Ayrshire and will keep you on track. He keeps his boat on Loch Lomond. With your "handle" you have clearly sussed out the underlying tone of the forum. The main thing is keep a SOH - /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

welcome. I hope you will soon settle in. Its very important to get very angry on as many posts as possible as this causes all sorts of hoo-hah and and we get a really good scrap going, before Kim notices. Keep you questions short and hopeless, such as what is the propeller for, or, where do I buy sails for my radar arch Keep interupting your own thread with dozens more questions that subsequently show your original question was totally irrelevent or that you forgot to mention 99pct of the facts. You should aim to have clocked up many hundred posts in the first hour or so, totally disagreed with any opinion given, accused lots of people of allsorts of things, and got banned by the end of the first week.
Otherwise, I m really dont think you re going to fit in at all....

Now is that not the best advice ever!!/forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Hi Mr Angry
I too am a relative newcomer. However I now sport the title of "Regular" you could also attain this if only you can find the time to post as much nonsense as possible instead of doing any work. I can't help but to keep logging on from my office desk every now and then. I will never afford that dream boat unless I start doing more work.

Welcome to the Forum.

Ian

I'd rather have a bad day boatin, than a good day workin ! ! !

Hope you come from Aberdeen then you can change your name. If you have green engines change them, if your boat's American don't ever admit it, and even worse if it's petrol then keep very quiet.

But the worst sin of all is to have a bow thruster. ;-))

Aha have just seen you have a 535, also the first boat we had, got lots of use out of her, great fun.
Edited by longjohnsilver on 05/11/2003 12:56 (server time).

Whats the best deal you can do me on a new bathroom suite complete with an extra powerful double hot shower?

Oh, and welcome to the forums.

Fairey boats and fablon rule.

Sod the Healey - I think I'll buy an E-Type.

Re: luxuxry bathroom salesman

I'm not sure about this. He may be a luxury bathroom salesman in the same way as say David Ginola is a Luxury Footballer. After all, everyone in scotland thinks that showers are bits of weather, baths are swimming pools and sinks are urinals.

Re: luxuxry bathroom salesman

I'm a Yorkshireman.

What exactly is a bathroom?

I recommend Roca, Sottini, Ideal Standard, but if you want to spend serious cash Villeroy and Boch. What does discount mean never heard of the word.
