Feeling gutted as boat is lifted out for a repair job this week, but not nearly as bad as this guy. First his boat gets nicked, he goes up in his helicopter to look for it, develops a problem and ends up having to ditch the copter in the water.

Good news is that he's ok (managed to swim ashore), the boat was recoved by the cops (sleeping thief still onboard)

Bad news, the 400k copter sank..

Is an R44 really £400,000 or did the newspaper make it up?

I recall a friend having his house valued for sale was disappointed by the valuation by the estate agent. He speculated that if he murdered the wife the press would place a value on his house closer to what he was expecting. The joke was he could wave the newspaper in front of prospective buyers.

No Idea what the helicopter is worth, or the boat, it's been reported as 150k but you are right, the press often inflate values. No doubt more details will emerge soon.
