The yacht that I have bought has a stainless steel Helford Galley pump for manual pumping of fresh water in the galley. The pump only dleivers water when the fresh water tank is full to the brim. The rest of the time the pump does not generate any water and feels like there is no suction

Does anyone have a similar pump who could send me a copy of the manual to tell me how to dismantle the pump?

Thanks

could the intake to the offending pump be at the top of the tank, therefore sucking only air when the water level drops below the bottom of the said sucky pipe?

I am intending to try and examine the intake line. I have yet to find it behind the woodwork.

I was hoping that someone might know how to dismantle the pump if the intake line is ok.
