On a thread on here the other day someone mentioned Hector Riva, the character in the Lotto advert. He is always shown on a beach with a yacht in the background or on his yacht. The size of that yacht means that it is crewed so no problems with ICC etc. If a lottery winner decided to become a boat owner what size would he start on before moving up to the 24m limit? Or would he just think 'I can afford it so I will buy the biggest for me and the missus.'

I reckon somewhere in the 40-50' range for a year or two, to get the hang of it. Don't want too many Sunseeker 75s becoming artificial reefs.

We always said that if we won the Lottery we would keep our Trader 44

That boat is/was just "us"

In fact we used to feel like Lottery winners when we first purchased her
