Having spent the first week living on the boat - I'm in heaven.

Funny isnt it how you find all the minor things that need to be done for extending stays that dont count for weekends.
Like where do I put the TV and Microwave ..... Converting the Sea Toilet to River use.... Shall I sleep in the same berth every night or swap around. Shall I have one beer or two /forums/images/icons/blush.gif ... whilst tea is cooking ......choices ... choices ...... choices ... choices ..... choices ... choices ...
Thank to those of you that helped over the last few months esp HLB, Solitaire, Alistair, Hagrid ...

So how many nights a year do you spend on your boat ...... ...

Re:Dead Handy.

Boat lives about 100ft to the rear of high st in Rochester.Very handy it is ,being able to walk back a few hundred yards from pubs and restuarants, rather than blimming 20 mile drive back to home.Pleasant to sit and watch the light fade while sitting on boat with beer in hand.

Well good on you,

It is nice to hear when somebody has it really sorted, AND appreciates it.

The thoughts of what may happen on the fuel front will be switched off for the weekend. I am meeting ladyfriend in the morning, and we will mosey from Hamble across to Studland for lunch and a lazy afternoon, then prob Swanage for the night if wind in the right direction. The burgee will be up on Time 'n Again, so if any of you guys want to meet up for a drink, or come across with us, anticipate leaving Hamble at around 9am then pm me this eve.

Have a great weekend everybody.

When ever I do night hours on a course or can persuade family to do so. I love sleeping on a boat. When I was a child ……….. year ago; loved holidays on the Norfolk boards, waking up to a cool fresh world, everything seems so relaxed and simple then. I still feel that now after a night on a boat. Its brill
Nights on board about 40 a year at mo. but not always same boat!!!!

No passerelle at the moment, anchored, wont use it again, until winter, it is undergoing some daring modifications, involving 1/2 ton of stainless steel and teflon!! + numerous bolts nuts etc. Enough to hopefully even keep Hoo on board!

Heaven IS a place on WATER.

Its great to hear you are enjoying yourself again, And i hope all is going well??

Decisions Decisions, Eh, It great to have them, Easiest way to convert to River toilet is, Just use a bucket!!/forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
Just think the nights you are spending aboard are all making up for the length of time Kelisha has had to sit in your drive. Start enjoying her again, as long as your wife accepts your other Lady is back on the scene again./forums/images/icons/smile.gif
As for night aboard we should by the end of this year spend approx 57 nights on board. And although she only a wee yin, We love spending as much time as i can with her.

Thanks for the Credit.

All the best and i hope your family are all well.

Cheers

Alistair.
