Heating systems in MED winter

We pondered the heating problem for months, though sadly we spent the winter on the North East coast nowhere near as warm as the med even for winter. In the end we opted for the Webasto 9KW Diesel water heater/pump. We went to B&Q bought a load of speedfit piping a couple of radiators, towel heaters, and a couple of heat exchanger blowers. Even in the depth of the winter chill we were very warm and cosy. Once the heater has got the water up to temperature it is surprisingly quiet and efficient. Runs on a berth, at sea, or under anchor. It also heats the water, preheats the engine, and can use the heat from the engine to provide heating when under power. A blower in the cockpit makes very comfortable winter sailing too.
