i have recently bought a boat with ebersbacher heating system the problem is when i turn it on after about 3 seconds it blows a fuse ,it does not start.
i canot find any bare wires which could be the problem the boat has been lying for about 2 years

If it runs for a few seconds before blowing the fuse then it can't be a short or serious wiring error - it must just be drawing too much power. Make sure you have the correct size fuse fitted.

Check fuse rating for your model, from memory thay pull 25 amp at start up, then around 15 amp on warm up. We used to fit 18 amp circuit breakers, but these would not cope with start up, it was altered to 25 amp.

The heater fuse on my D3L is 25 Amp and was supplied in the kit that I installed. Suggest you try increasing the fuse rating to 25 and if it still blows, as suggested earlier, inspect the glow plug for a problem.

Along with the other advice here check that the fan motor is running freely. If it isn't running it could be blowing the fuse before it auto shuts down.
