Hearing loss

I have only half an ear functioning, due to disease. In the "good" ear, which has severe high frequency loss, I have a top-end "in the canal" digital hearing aid, programmed to restore my hearing across the spectrum. It is a lifesaver, it cost £2500 and was very cheap at the price, as I couldn't even understand my wife at a yard, and some work colleagues had become totally inaudible. I can't recommend strongly enough, if you can afford a boat or car thyen you can afford a decent hearing aid, expected working life in excess of 5 years, so £10 per week to hear again - peanuts. Wind noise can still be an issue at the wrong angle, but I just turn my head.
