Urgent message to all members,
On Wednesday 2nd February in the early evening the CCTV picked up two persons who stopped at the gate, studied the camera, then carefully covered their faces with hoodies and arms before running through the side gate onto the site. While on the site they were seen moving amongst the catamarans, the area around the barn, the cruiser park and seen to pay particular attention to the locks on the boat containers. About 15 minutes later the same people were seen to run from the site. The police were contacted who came to the site, viewed the recording and indicated that these people may have been “Casing” the place.
The police also indicated that they have experienced an epidemic of thefts in the area and are increasing the number of patrols.
There has been a report in the local press that £30,000 of outboard thefts and £17,000 of damage being caused at Fambridge recently

Others with boats in the area may want to take note - 2 years ago b*****ds like these nicked the outboards from our rescue boats.
