While the boats were fascinating did anybody here have an over whelming urge rush out to get a tan with an unnatural hue and a wardrobe with some worrying pastel shades. This was mainly the sales staff, the buyers all appeared to dress in an understated manner difficult to spot under most circumstances in any club bar.
Doubt Mr Amstrad would get on any boat if the bar to entry was a face that had been lived in,as one salesman proudly proclaimed.

I see your point. But I'm just dreaming. It's in a completely different league to me. I boat on a no frills budget. It's good, could be better, but it's good :)

Don't knock it until you try it. My SWMBO broke her leg last year and I employed a stewardess to help us during a week long cruise. She was fantastic, not only doing all the catering and shopping but every time we stopped, she started cleaning the boat. It was great to be plied with canapes and cocktails on arrival in port and to wake up every morning to breakfast already prepared and a sparkling boat. She even had us doing yoga every day as well. The thing about having crew is that it allows you to do only the things you want to do on the boat which in my case is the helming and navigating but not much else

I suggested to the SWMBO that we employ this girl on a more regular basis even after her leg had mended but that suggestion was turned down flat. SWMBO said it had nothing at all to do with the fact that the girl was about half the SWMBO's age and rather decorative;)

You kept that quiet MrF! But it does sound an attractive proposition..............

There was something disappointing though.

They "kind of" implied that in order to have an attractive stewardess, she couldn't be prettier than the SWMBO.

Didn't they say one Miss World (as eye candy for the husband and male guests), and the rest Plain Janes so that the wife doesn't feel like the least attractive woman on the boat?

It suspect that depends if your current wife was is a Miss World, I think.

I think one owner summed it up pretty well. He said something along the lines of once you have everything what else is there to spend your money on?

How about irrigating the Sahara?
Bringing clean drinking water to everyone in the world?

I could think of plenty of things to spend $100M or more on without getting anywhere near to breaking out in a sweat.

And a Ferrari and a 120m yacht are not on the list.
