Just in case I'm not the only one who didn't know, Marine Superstore will take your out of date flare pack when you buy a new one. There seems to be some flexibility in the system because they took a coastal pack + most of an offshore pack + miscellaneous other flares off me today when I bought a Pains Wessex RORC flare pack from them. See here : https://www.marinesuperstore.com/pains-wessex-flare-packs-collection-in-store-only

Prices seem reasonable even without the added convenience so if you're near Port Solent it's a no brainer.

I bought an Odeo LED flare from them last week. fired off the 6 hh reds at home, 2 failed

My understanding is that Marine Superstore will take in old flares on a like for like basis, when you buy new ones, so you may have been lucky if they took more old ones of you than you bought new.
I emailed them beforehand and they said they would take a few extras so, as I said, there seems to be some flexibility in their system. Worth phoning first though.

Force 4 at Bursledon (and presumably all their other shops) have the same policy.
That's good to hear, don't see anything about it on their site though ?
