Morning all,
As the Nicholson-38 website seems to be off-air indefinitely I wonder if there are any Nic-38 owners out there who have renewed the original saloon unfoamed headlining, which is just stretched tightly under the deck-head & folded over & clipped in at the edges of the panel by clear plastic female edging to the male half of the plastic edging that is screwed into the glass-fibre overhead. (40 yrs old & irreplaceable now)

I had a bad leak down through the deck ventilator & thinking it was bolted down through the deck I removed the headlining to get at the screws or bolts under the deck-head. The two halves of the plastic edging just peel apart, but getting it tensioned & clipped back in is almost impossible unless of course there are several people to help. I then found out the ventilator isn't bolted down, it's just epoxied to the deck, so it was completely unnecessary to remove the headlining after all.
Kicking myself now.!
Any tips or tricks...? Use the opportunity to replace the whole lot...?

Jock
