No probs, Paul. Vis was as you said. Mooring chain under 1ft of thick green gloop. Not nice.
Pics to follow, but here is the detail of the range conversations.
Louise telephoned both and told them we were coming. On th emorning, we left Oxwich at 06:30, too early for ranges, but gave the coastguard a passage plan to go to a lat/long 12 miles South of Manorbier. CG said, great, after that point we could head NW and, as long as we stayed 2 miles West of Linney head, we'd be fine. Followed plan, no word from Manorbier. Castlemartin called us on 16, they knew where we were, but could they give us a heading? agreed and they sent us further West before telling us we could turn NW again. Thanked us for co-operating.
No real probs, though slightly surprised that passage plan lodged with Milford CG was altered by Castlemartin.
