Departure Dublin, destination Oban, most likely departing on fri 17th Aug.

Any tips/suggestions on the passage planning?

Objective is to do the trip without stopping, but clearly there are lots of options if the weather isn't great or problems arise, so no get-there-itis.

Boat: 40' masthead rigged sloop, passage planning speed ~5kts i.e if the wind drops, the iron genoa will be switched on

May be worth while checking out the tidal atlas, but from Dublin to Oban non stop it will not matter much as what you gain for the first 6 hours you loose on the next.
If you decide to stop anywhere then it's a different matter.
