from B&Q £300 reduced to £149.98

I brought a flip over saw saw which when you turned it over became a table saw, I was very pleased with it but look in the picture
while tuning it over the whole lot snapped clean away from the table the motor cutter every thing imagine if it was cutting through some timber and hit a nail or knot ?
B&Q told me take it back not the staffs fault but if you have one or see em you can see what can happen so praps think carefully about buying one

That looks serious.

I have great respect for circular saws after a mate of mine had to deal with a runaway hand held one, in a broom cupboard.

Months of surgery saved his left arm!

trading standards are dealing with it now, actualy while chatting to him I thought what if it didnt break clean away but fractured
then while using it it finaly broke !!!

thanks for putting picture on ! dont why it never came up

cheers

Did it break when you flipped from mitre to table mode? Did you have the saw locked down before turning the saw over? If not, I imagine much the same would happen with other makes, since the saw plus motor (hefty stuff) would flip away from the table, putting enormous strain on the attachment point - also on your hand holding on to the other side of the table
