Good. That's clear then, there are no inconsistencies there. That's a shunt for your domestics only amps and A/H.

If you've only got two sense wires attached to the little internal stubs that's also straightforward. If there's an extra one on the battery side, that may go to a separate voltmeter, or it may go to a regulator or solenoid (one of those little boxes you showed us before). But that's too many 'ifs' at this stage - There may not be another sense line attached!

Richard, keep on asking questions. The Forum is such a rich source of knowledge that provides a benefit to us all. Personally I still find electrics and electronics a bit of a "grey" art (I've progressed from black). Of all the books I've seen on the subject, Alistair Garrod's Electrics Afloat (around £20) was the best in terms of explaining things in simple terms and with some brilliant graphics and if you haven't got at least one of Nigel Calder's excellent technical tomes aboard, you should have.

Hmmm. I thought his book was quite good - and in any event, are the pages a little stiff for that sort of use? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
