No doubt done to death here, but.... just paid 66 Euros (over 40 quid) here in my local Volvo dealer for the air filter for my MD2030B. Nothing fancy whatsoever, its a cylinder of a coarse sponge type material with one end open and must cost 50cents to produce. After that the fuel filter at 9 Eur seemed like a bargain.

Those filters are expensive, but not that much!

They survive quite a few "washes" before they need replaced.

The old one was a washable filter....... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

And that is me 1000th!!

Some engines, like my Yanmar 8, do not have air filters. The reason is that there is far less dust out at sea than on land ( cities or farms).
