Do any of you feel that you spend too much time examining this forum? Do you log on at breakfast time and come straight here? Do you lie awake trying to think of a topic to get a thread going? If so, it might be time to put the boat back in the water...

Les,

I think you are right, I wonder if there is a condition known as COMPULSIVE POSTING DISORDER or COMPULSIVE POSTREPLYING DISORDER.

How many posts can you make a day without this being diagnosed. Is there some sort of self test we can do./forums/images/icons/wink.gif

The first step on the road to recovery is to recognise you have the problem.

I don't of course.

Got to admit first thing I do in the morning is to log on to the forum.
The old computor I had packed up last week, was like a fish out of water until the
new one arrived,now I can leave it switched on all day , the old one use to interfere
with the television, SHMBO was always moaning.
The only problem I have is loggin off to go to bed. addicted? yes I suppose I am.

Shame on you!!

I even check who's online to see if anyone is writing a post or reply and then constantly hit refresh to to get another fix. /forums/images/icons/crazy.gif

I have two computers logged on so that I can see posts while I'm answering others.

I'm not hooked but I wonder how I could use a third.

What you need is a bank of monitors (computers can he hidden away somewhere), one for each forum, with auto refresh, and another for posting replies with.

I'm reliably informed that this is the setup Kim has at office and home, and explains why he always knows what's going on /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Are you sure that one for each forum is enough? What about breakdowns & the intervals while the screens refresh?

But I'm not addicted.

Also need some way of automatically opening new posts, and scrolling them, so that you don't have to do it manually.

HHmmm, might have to work on this at the weekend

<hr width=100% size=1>

There,s an internet cafe here in the boatyard so checking out this site takes less time than a mornng newspaper and costs about the same really enjoy it ...we,re all creatures of habit so relax ......

<hr width=100% size=1>

Do you mean your not going to work on your boat this weekend?

I think you've got it worse than you realise.

I find it keeps me sane

I regard the flora as a breath of fresh air. To enjoy social intercourse with a group of like minded people makes a very welcome change from dragging the hearts, minds, livers and kidneys of increasingly unacademic students through increasingly unacademic programmes of study.

Well I did take the boat out for a spin last weekend, so I think I deserve some hard earned quality leisure time with the computer this weekend!
