I’m on a little B****t day cruise after seeing how calm the sea is



This beautiful warm weather and lovely sea is surely a portent of good things to come. I just want to say that regardless your politics or discomfort for the economy, all we really want is a bright secure future for our loved ones and ourselves. So in a spirit of genuine comradeship I hope that the past can stay in the past and today is to enjoy, not for gloating, but to appreciate for its beauty and intrinsic worth.

Wind gusting 37 kts SW
Heavy rain forecast , off to collect a compass off one man and give it to another
Off to listen to a Volvo in a Sealine cos the man recieving the compass says it’s making funny noises
The man offering the compass wants to take his boat out and try his new compass ( feck that today)!
Nowt wrong with his old compass by the way
But to tell you why he is fitting a new one would take all day and probably spoil it too
So
After doing my Duty and helping these chaps out because I want too
Plus, I can nosey about two marinas with a clear conscience instead of starting to decorate the kitchen as SWMBO has been asking for months and swan about pretending to check people’s warps and pontificate on the pontoons to any daft git who will listen
Then get home in time to watch Wales play Italy
The Chap who has a noisy engine has a Painting and Decorating business
I feel a ‘Trade’ is in the offing!

dunno, around 19C under the sun, had 3 or 4 tsipouro (raki) shots - on an open air restaurant wearing my t-shirt - with friends eating fish tapas, back home now trying to work (not easy hence forum posting...).
definitely not happy for b****t, accept it's your call, hope you wont regret it.
after living (studying-working) in Bath for 11yrs (89-2000) and not being back in the UK for 12 I'm not likely to visit anytime soon, hope my mates (all avid remainers) will come and visit as they have done in the past!
