Does anyone know of an a online supplier that could machine me some delrin bar to make replacement hatch sliders?

(Roughly 25mm x 15mm into a sort of L shape - 640mm long.)

Been googling away with no success!

Of course, posts 2-4 are simple machining using wood working tools! They also presume the OP has a table saw and expereince with it.

It would no doubt be cheaper to buy the Delrin and have a wood working shop make the groove.

Does it have to be carved from one piece or can you screw two bits of sheet together?

I have L shaped bars (of UHMWPE with lots of UV stabiliser... aging ok so far... looks like Delrin, a bit less strong but slipperier) as part of my hatch slider system, just a wide part and a narrow part with rows of little M3 screws (one side tapped). I bought flat bars that appear to be cut from sheet. Not having appropriate powertools for the job, I hand-sawed them to width (tiring! but works) and used a very sharp low angle block plane to put a neat face on.

Not directly connected, but might give ideas.

I bolted some 20mm ss square tube to the side coaming then made up some stainless U shapes for the hatch to slide on them. Left a bit of clearance with delrin biscuits let into the wood for the actual sliding surface. The ss bits are let into the wood top and side, so the actual gaps are quite small. The ss does not actually touch the rails except to stop the hatch lifting. Works nicely.
