Haslar marina berth wanted

I am sailing my 10m boat home from France in June and had hoped to find a berth for her at Haslar, but of course there is a waiting list.

Does anyone know someone who has a 10m berth there and is planning to be away on extended cruising for the summer?

The marina maintains a list of boats moving away for any length of time but given the cost of mooring I don't think anyone would be doing themselves any favours by being out of the marina for an extended period. Even if they are, the marina staff will allocate them to visitors (I wonder where the cash from this goes?...). You may be able to get the marina to find you space for a short-ish period (say 2 months) but it would mean shuffling the boat between vacant berths. This only works well at the ends of the season. How long and when are you planning to be there? (not offering my space).

I do know there were at least two on the notice board in the marina. I will be down there again on Friday and can get details for you if you would like.

I plan to bring the boat over ( weather permitting) in the first week in June. I will eventually be looking for a permananet berth.
