Has the UK government lost the plot?

This site is full of threads about diesel fuel duty free and duty paid and the total "c up " the Government has made.
But its not only fuel...
Search Amazon UK and Amazon US and you will find the following.

These are all exactly the same but with different covers/printers.
Oh and of course the information is free to download across the Internet-National Geospatial Agency make it free at source.
The same is of course true of sailing directions;electronic charts;and Tidal data amongst other things!

To be fair, I don't think they ever had the plot to begin with...... It certainly wasn't handed to them by the previous lot!

Don't think they have lost the plot just that Lord Rothchild has not told them
yet
