Saw him coming out of Chertsey lock Saturday late afternoon.

He should be alright, he had boatone showing him the way, so i guess will avoid hitting any islands.

spied him on friday just about to head through richmond with his nice new burgee

Met up with Sarah T and Release at Chertsey on Saturday and left them at Cookham yesterday morning. Last heard they were at Marlow having a late breakfast.

Think Fred might be a closet narrowboater - he really does like travelling slowly /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

We met up with him a while ago on the way to Burnham, now we don't travel very fast, normally at displacement speed. I think he set off several hours before us and we caught him still outside the Crouch. He then mocked us for smoky engines (which had cooled down to below 65C) and wobbly steering, because the engines were both at idle in an attempt not to lose him as there were no large chimneys for him to steer towards. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
