Has anyone used Cuprotect antifouling?

I need information on how this product works. I have a 36ft classic motor boat in the S of France where fouling is bad and this seems to be the answer but expensive?

Get some Trilux antifoul and acquire some 500micron copper powder from somewhere, mix the two together and apply to hull. It seems to work and it's a gazillion times cheaper than cuprotect.
