Has anyone got any idea of the second hand value of an Autohelm ST8001?

I have replaced the ST8001 system on the boat. The system taken off is now in the new box. It has the larger Smart Pilot rotary control head.

It was taken off as I was not happy with the way it was working. The Raymarine engineer has found the problem and it requires a new computer costing £350 + VAT.

So for a tad over £400 the computer comes with a guarantee by Raymarine.

I'm not sure of the second hand value of a full working system. I dont know whether to go ahead with the new computer or just keep it for spares.

Any ideas of value anyone?

For a tanner, gosh worth that much. A weeks pocket money when I was a nipper!

I bet a lot dont know what a tanner is!!!
