Hi all ,

Been toying with the idea of a canadian canoe for the summer , get myself afloat without the need for an engine.

So , does anyone have one they would like to sell ? laying around at the end of their garden ? kids grown up and never use it any more ?

Don't mind it being a bit tatty , am perfectly happy to clean her up if needed.

Needs to be cheap cheap cheap ( remember , i am just a lock-keeper ) .

Ideally it would seat two ( then i can get the wife afloat too ! )

Many thanks in advance

H

a quick look on Ebay will give you a good idea of the scary prices these things command esp during the summer.

suspect you could buy an inflatable and old O/B for less money.
Took me ages to find and old heap with several holes in it to do up and it still cost me over £100 +

Yes , Ebay and Old Town are enough to give you nightmares ...

I just wondered if anyone had an old grotty one covered in mildew and leaves at the bottom of their garden ....

Look up a site called recycle.co.uk then find areas within your reach. You will find all sorts of items on there all for free. You can also post your wants too.

I have had a lot of success with www.freecycle.org - got a canoe, tender and tender trailer - all for free

Also a means of people taking your own "rubbish" away without having to visit the tip!
