Has anyone experience of Quic Kutter rope cutters

had them fitted to my last boat and they did an excellent job cutting the lines of a couple of badly marked pots. The company are very helpful and give good advice over the fitting as you will need a local engineering company to fabricate a bespoke part to enable fitting.

Thanks Tetleys did you have rope cutters before and did you experience any speed change ?

Thanks Oaf I have Stripper cutters now which are well worn, I have always been concerned about the interference of Stripper or Spurs cutters and a reputed speed drop, I have been told 1 to 1.5 knot ? I have not run this boat without cutters.

What interests me is the simple design and what look like a low drag of the quic cutter?

HI Bandit,
I had my rope cutters fitted by DK Marine in jersey. Pretty hefty bill for the installation but was promised no loss of performance and thats exactly true. I havent lost a knot of speed which cant be said for all others I believe.
Go for it they are good

same for me, no loss of power and a very simple but effectice design. Not the cheapest but hey the finer things in life never are.
