This should maybe go in the lounge so please bear with me if I've posted in the wrong place.... It's boaty but also techy.
I'm curious as I've recently advertised our pride and joy on Apollo Duck and the control panel shows a total of 3,329 'impressions' already. I'm guessing these 'impressions' are not real views but also 'web bots' and 'spiders' (I've done my research)! and still don't have a clue /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
This is obviously not the best time to sell but the ad runs till next season for very little cost, so why not? Constructive advice from both boaty and t'internetty people most welcome. Links to the ad not provided as I don't want to get banned and lose Lakeys links to those 'bad lads' sites

I knew I should have posted this in the lounge....... What the hell it's the weekend! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I sold my 22 foot raggie on Apolloduck. I had the usual chancers offering me more than the price, but ignored them.
No real problems, what can you knock for a free service?

I would personally use Boats and Outboards as it is also free and is a better site from a buyers point of view.

Bearing in mind the time of year and the weather i would have though a price tag of £25,000 would get it shifted.

Good luck

Thanks for the response Dave. My reasoning was that you can post a lot of pictures on AD for a minimal cost and the ad runs for about 6 months. Boats and Outboards and Boatshop 24 are a bit more restrictive. I'll probably go for paid ads there if she doesn't sell over the winter.

I am realistic about the price and would probably expect offers around that, but If I advertise at 25K someone will come along expecting to get it for even less! I know I would /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I paid for a feature add and posted lots of pics, sold the boat 12 weeks later. No broker, no hassel, no commission, I just had to pay for the add. I put the price in to stop "tyre kickers" ringing, and got rid of time wasters in the first 60 secs of phone calls. Only showed her to three couples and she was bought by the first couple to see her. Luck I suppose.
