... an old fashioned Barton roller reefing gear handle I can borrow for five minutes?

Brigantia has long been converted to slab reefing making the roller reefing redundant but I noticed when stowing the main on Sunday that the boom has managed to cock itself round by one notch and I need one of the above to wind it back to where it should be!

Bit reluctant to shell out getting on for forty beer tokens for summat I'm only going to use once for a few seconds

Might have. I do have a roller boom and there is a handle for it somewhere on the boat (I think). I am going to the boat this weekend, so will have a look.

Like Steve I think there's one on Sixpence, if I get time later I'll have a look and see if I can find it. Strange how I can manage to lose things on the boat when it's only a little one

Blimey, these things seem to be popping up out of the woodwork all over the place :D

Think it's gonna be the weekend of the 22nd / 23rd before we get back down to the boat - and that's provided Jane gets the time off work and (in theory, if weather etc, works out) we're supposed to be going to Brightlingsea for some do or other ISTR!

So nearer the day, when I know what's what, I'll try and liaise with one or more of you wonderful peeps

If you are going to be at the "Laying Down Supper" then you can pick it up there.

Hoping to be if the DLW can get the weekend off - her boss is playing hard to get at the moment :(

Be perfect if it works out!

Cheers

PS. Thanks for the alternative suggestions Fantasie19, that';s a plan B :)
