One less ship to watch out for when I'm crossing the shipping lanes.

Shame as its been going for 140 years, but if no one wants to use it........ (and Euro rules are going to add £2m costs)

Amazingly a Danish friend of my son States that nearly all Danish bacon is exported to German merchants and then rexported from there, even to Denmark! So probably polluting via road vehicles already and maybe with less emissions. Sad day nevertheless.

Sad moment yesterday as the last service departed Harwich after 140 years of the route, she gave three longs on the whistle leaving Parkestone and the traditional three longs abeam Harwich, and as she passed through Felixstowe every vessel gave three longs on their whistles.

A new ferry service on that route is to start at Easter run by Regina.
