As a current Harleyford moorer, it's great to see the new basin gradually approaching completion, as can be seen from the attached photo - which has just been released.
It doesn't look huge - the photo is deceptive - for example the base of the reversed 'L' (bottom right) is some 35m long, and the perimeter is some 800 metres long. There's room for some 170 boats from 7 -20m in length.
All berths have water and 240V power, plenty of car parking (the blobs at the head of the photo are two further parking areas awaiting treatment. There's further landscaping with grass, shrubs and trees to come.
It will be open to boats from 1st. April with an official opening in mid April.
Many of the berths have already been allocated, but there are about 15 left. For details pop over to www.Harleyford.co.uk for a detailed layout and prices.
