tell her you need a greenhouse to get any colour on things in the UK............
seriously the conversion will add weight just were you don't want it, and replacing the whole topsides must be a no no - jst change boats if you really need a hard top - and get something with patio dors as well - they seem to like these

Thanks for your mail re Diesel v petrol. I too run a Bayliner, a 2655 and I didn't like the Bimini style awning,it is ugly and costs knots in a headwind. So I threw mine out and had a new one made that is more raked back, more or less inline with the windscreen as you don't need full standing height at the front, and I had it extended aft to cover the aft deck so now the whole boat is dry.
