Hi to all
On my 1983 Saillmaster there are two hard plastic winch handle holders and i have broken a piece out of one of them
Were these a production item or has the previous owner made the out of some square pvc tube
Any thoughts would be appreciated
Regards Don

The one on the bulkhead looks like a standard production item; the other two may be DIY. There are loads about, just Google winch handle holder, or winch handle pocket.

All plastic winch handle pockets I have seen are soft. Your hard ones are probably DIY, are they closed at base with a drain hole or fully open. If open they are square tube as you state.

I have a rigid(ish) winch handler holder, it came with the boat so no idea of make, but they do exist. It is clearly manufactured not DIY, with curved corners and drain in the bottom. I have not been able to find one similar though and had to buy a soft plastic one for the port side.

Looks identical to the ones on my (1991) Westerly

I reckon it's only rigid(ish) because it's old and the plasticisers have evaporated - it probably started life as soft plastic.
