I have to deliver someone to Corfu to catch a flight. Never been there before. can anyone advise on the best marina(s) to head for given that we need to be sure of finding a place? can one book ahead in any of the ones near Corfu town, by mobile phone or (once practically there) by VHF?

Gouvia would seem to fit but looks a bit soulless and far from town, would prefer one of the places walking distance to town.

thanks in advance

See http://jimbsail.info/mediterranean/greece/north-ionian for contact numbers, list item Corfu. Mandraki (just north of town) and NAOK (just south of town) would meet your needs, but you may have to wait for a space. You can anchor off south of town too - either to wait for space at NAOK, or to dinghy ashore to pick up your crew.

I did not find a better thread and my question is: where can I find fresh water on Corfu.
I do not want to go to Gouvia (expensive), I have been last year in Mandraki (nice but water is poor qualit), NAOK will not give you just water...
Petriti? I heard there is a possibility to get water from tavernas but my boat is 43' (2m draft)...

Any ideas?
Thanks.

Thanks.
At the momement I droped my anchor in Petriti.
So shall I try Gouvia? Is it possible just to fill water? Maybe from a petrol station in Gouvia?

The thing is that I am slowly returning to Croatia and I do not want to have my tanks empty since I am doing Eerikousa- Lastovo (Croatia) directly...

P.s. if anybody here in Petriti: welcome onboard....

I got water in Mandraki. It smells like **** (do not now how it tastes but I won't try it).
This is the worst "fresh" water I got in Mandraki over last three years.
Just for the info: the best water is in Preveza....

OMG I wish I had a watermaker....:(
