I am going to get a mate to make a short video showing the important parts of entering Conwy harbour and post it on the likes of Youtube - if enough of the boating community do this around the country we could generate our own set of pilotage videos - God help them who help themselves

"God help them who help themselves "

While I applaud the concept - isn't this the Police Association motto ?"

brilliant concept - as a check the initial posterhas got it right how would informed comment by other local "experts" validate the pilotage plan otherwise think of the mayhem if a poster got it wrong.

Correction

The TV channel is showing bingo today. Sky Channel 167 advertising UK-Boating however I am not receiving the signal. Don’t know why.

Aye, & watch out for those following the age old Cornish traditions of help for seafarers! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

By the way, the Conway channel buoys are checked every year and frequently re-sited due to the migratory nature of sand in that area.

Should be a market for a Pilotage DVD as DVD players can be had for a few quid these days - a throwaway price compared to most Navigation kit! I might have a chat with my youngest. Perhaps anyone submitting a video could get a dvd of the compilation when it's done? /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
