Happy 1 has been unbanned this evening.

He and I have spoken about some of the things that have caused issues in the past and made him a target for not always helpful comment. We have an understanding about such things, I hope, and I will be watching to see if it all pans out the way we discussed.

In turn I am please asking everyone to leave him alone; most of the issues arise from regulars and as regulars you know what makes everything go bananas here.

Whatever the rights and wrongs of the past I won't accept any user being drummed out of here, just as I am not prepared to accept some of the things that might have caused riots in the past.

Please help me make this place as inclusive as possible.

Thanks
Kim

Re: Happy days are here again!

It feels so refreshing to be back /forums/images/icons/wink.gif I have been putting too many hours on my boats engine, so I may take the opportunity to put on a few posts about my adventures at sea over the past few weeks.

I have taken up donutting which has been succesful with the kids, and yesterday bought a pair of waterskis. A kind forum member is going to give lessons to my son, I will keep you all updated on the progress, any hints would be appreciated.

Re: Happy days are here again!

Welcome back Happy.

I often do-nutting as well, when I can get away with it.

From my own experience, I'd recommend a few lessons at a water-ski school to get you going (start on the bar) before towing on a rope from your own boat. My kids love the donut. #1 son (11) is OK on skis as well. However, not often flat enough to ski on the sea although we have managed once this year.

Re: Happy days are here again!

Was out on the touch line for a while so missed all the action, glad they let you back in, everyone should have the chance to tap into the experince and good advise that there is on this forum, they've always helped me out so that's what I try and to do in return.

Always feel free to ask questions, if people ask things of me I do mey best to answer if not find out or refer on or admit defeat.

Happy and safe boating.

Best Regards

Peter

Re: Happy days are here again!

I learnt the hard way with deep water starts on two, then got better and could come up on one, used to sometime start on two with a combo pair, then kickoff the right ski, and used just one.

Ski'd in lunch hour, in Datchet at TV ski, 10 mins from office get changed, 15 mins cold wet shower for ten quid as my mates called it, real hot shower then back to work, great fun.

Not done a lot in a long time, really should give it a go again.
