Happy New Year!

I'd like to wish all my forum friends a happy, prosperous and successful New Year! For all those who are freezing in the depth of a British winter, New Year's eve was also uncomfortable in Melbourne. 44 deg C combined with 40kt Northerly winds, straight off the desert, made for the sort of day when you really don't want to be doing anything much. Thank goodness that it cooled down to 26 deg. for overnight so that we could sleep. You can have too much of a good thing!

Dear Peter
How does Santa deliver your presents down under when there is no snow for his sleigh to run on?I think i would rather be up here sat round a warm fire opening all my presents!!
