We're down on the boat and it's freezing, with a forecast of colder tonight and bitterly cold tomorrow. I love it though. We have a home made spag bol warming in the oven and a bottle of fizz cooling.

Happy sailing everyone for 2010.:D:D:D

Still no water to the house, and no sign of a thaw for days. Mrs S. taken to hospital this afternoon with several fractures after falling off her horse. 2010 can only get better- Happy New Year, everyone- hope yours starts a little more gently!

Happy New Year

A happy and peaceful new year to all, I am sorry to say the comfort of the central heating and logburner won out over the fan heater on the boat for New Years Eve but the winds look OK for a sail over the next few days.

best wishes to Mrs Tober... for a speedy recovery and return to the saddle. Hope the animal is OK too.

And a very happy New Year to you. We will be crowded out at home with more sailing friends than we can give proper accommodation to while unconscious, which will probably occur at varying times later in the evening following game pie and all the booze I have in mind for them. Don't want them waking until I've had my lie-in.

Indeed. Happy new year.

I'm off to get drunk with twenty odd other liveaboards. We've got proper one's up here. The marina trolleys are being used to cart crates of booze on to their boats! :D

-3.4 degrees though. Brrrrrr.

LJs all round. We can't afford to lose one of the forum's authors.

HNY and best of fortune and fun with the new boat.

The Brecon Canal at the side of my house is frozen solid for the last 10 days; the mountains are white with snow. I better get the woodburner going; put some chestnuts to roast and pour some brandy before we sit down to enjoy the evening.

Happy New Year and hope for less rain next summer.

Happy New Year from Northern Ireland, have a good one 2nite, tomorrow will get better as the day goes on......

have a great 2010, safe boating to all

-1.5 C here & a wee dusting of new snow, was going to boat BUT at last minute stayed at home, down 2morrow.......

Happy new year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! wishing all a healthy, happy, peaceful and focused new decade!

- 4.3 here….down the boat today, dried the bilge after breaking through the ice, sanded and oiled the rubbing-streak, this with two heaters to warm the place up. A few hardy souls down the club working on their own boats before the festivities begin.

Plus I just have to share this:….music to tame the “Savage Beast” and cure a killer HANGOVER!!!!!!

...and best wishes for the New Year to all Scuttlebutters from Cornwall on a cold and frosty morning, in the East of the Duchy anyway.

Well, got up this morning to a covering of snow over the boat and the surface water of the marina was frozen. Now that's cold!!!! Snug in the cabin though, with bacon on the go. Glorious!:p:p:p:p:p:p
