Not the happiest day of my life as some say but a relief for sure!!

Almost a year to the day after buying Charlie Brown, we have completed on the sale today. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

She was on the market since July last year and until January, not a sniff of interest. All of a sudden, after christmas lots of people were asking for it!!

i hope the new owners are very happy but i dont envy their delivery trip to Bulgaria via the French canals and med!!! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

what next..... a break until next winter so we can sort the house and then something with tubes and a big outboard. Must be able to do over 50 Kts top end and cruise at 35Kts.

Happy boating everyone! i hope the season is great for your all! For the first time in my adult life i will be boatless this summer!!

Best regards
Howard.

Howard, you don't have to be. We have a nice rib with a "FO" big outboard that we now bare boat charter - as a past customer you are entitled to rent it. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

David,

you forget, i was too keen to get going and didnt wait for a decent instructer to do our training, as a result some clown destroyed any confidence SWMBO had and was all i could do to stop her forcefully ejecting them from the boat at 30 kts down Southampton Water!!

Still wanna do us a bareboat charter!!?? /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Now that gets me mad.!!!!!!

I have heard a few story's recently about someone destroying lady s confidence while teaching,

If I was there he would have got an ear full big time from me and then evicted off the boat at the nearest shallow area, most likely the bramble bank.

I would love a day or two with your lady wife to get her confidence back up.

We have had so much communication after that event I feel like your a client. We need to sort that issue with SWMO. Not good and we try very hard to ensure that the ladies enjoy the experience. After all, as you have found, it can ruin your boating.

Perhaps she needs to come out with us and lets try and regain some confidence.

I'm sure we could work something out - even if it's just a short assessment. We would also run a ladies only course with Powerskipper if needed. You'll be amazed at how many women we convert and husbands have been known to complain because they won't get off the helm. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

i dont think its ott to be honest.

i suspect the fact that Ladies are treated like rubbish is a common problem in boat training and the fact a trainer recogonises it and prepared to do something about it is fair play and to be commended!!

when we find what we are looking for (suspect it will be much later this year / early next) will give you a shout. it will be a rib for sure and we intend on using it for longer trips so will be back for some one to one to build her confidence. she has always been much happier in open boats and has done powerboat level 2 but as we all know, confidence is important!

from my point of view, means i can drink more when we are out and get driven home so a well founded investment if you ask me!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Congratulations!! Still not sold ours /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif hopefully things will start to pick up for us as well

thanks charlie.

fingers crossed for yours. there are signs of improvement at the moment from what i am hearing but it only takes one and we were lucky to get them and keep them!!
