Struggling to find an English language source for this, but it looks like Hanse have added another "niche" builder to their portfolio by buying the not long defunct Dehler brand. Dehler were at one stage the largest boat builder in Germany, how their fortunes have changed.

Terrible, now Mr Delher can share his time between fixing up the Hanse problems and start new flashy engineering ideas.

We are expectant to the new yacht builder´s era.

So as a brand new user you pop up on 3 threads bashing Hanse....

Want to share what your beef is?

I suspect that the only way any European manufacturer can compete nowadays is by having one of either:

Premium branding and associated price premiums

Economies of scale.... get big quick, or die!

I can't see anyone competing in the latter category against Beneteau and Bavaria unless they can develop real scale... and that seems to be what Hanse are doing...

And anyway Bavaria must be technically bankrupt at the mom with €1.4dn debt courtesy of Goldmans and Dresdner. With a balance sheet like that Bavaaria make Hanse look rather good. Add a car park overflowing with unsold Bavarias and ???????????????????

He is actually searching and in one case resurrecting 18month old threads to bash Hanse!

This is not fair!

Why he's almost as bad as me in bashing Volvo bits!!

I can only imagine that he has had a bad experience that has left him a bit venomous as I certainly was at Volvos lack of acceptance of responsibility. I always feel more pain when it has hit me financially in the pocket
