Anyone compared it to official tables (or reality) to see how good it is?

It looks to be run off XTide, which I believe had to stop using "good" harmonic data after threats from the UKHO. That was years ago - if things have changed since then excellent, but if not I'd be wondering how good whatever they're using instead is.

Not in great detail but sufficiently to know that there are differnces. Perhaps significant at times.

Also notice that 2 or 3 alternatives are offered for some ports :eek:

useful for planning ahead, next year for example, when precise data are not essential

They are produced by Proudman Oceanographic Laboratories, I think I am correct in saying they have been producing tidal data for longer than the UKHO who at one time, I think, bought data from them. They know their stuff.

Pete was referring to the link to the world wide XTides that exfinnsailor gave

No problems with tidal predictions from POL.
Lots of other information on their site as well as predictions
