Picked up one of these from ebay for £15 and am quite pleased with it, so thought others may find it of use.

It's a home energy monitor, so a bit over featured for my needs, but I just set it to display amps, and so the main screen shows this, as well as room temperature and humidity. If your electricity supply is metered you can input the rates and see how much your usage is costing you.

It took 5 minutes to fit, by clamping the sensor around the incoming mains feed, and the display is wireless, so I can stick it anywhere or move it around. I'm never quite sure how close I am to tripping the 16amp shorepower supply, especially when cooking or in winter, and so this is great as it shows me how many amps I'm using at any given time.

I know there are cheaper and simpler amp meters out there, but the ease of fitting and the wireless display made it worth the extra for me.
